Janice Stanton has worked professionally in theatre and film for over 20 years, as an actress and manager. Her film work has included appearances in The Work and the Glory and Popcorn Boy. She has been seen in commercials and TV in Snapped for the Oxygen Network; Detrol/ Emergency Room Network; a P.S.A. for the Knox County Library; and an industrial for Oak Ridge Associated Universities.

Her stage roles have included: Bev in “Graceland”; Mrs. Kirby in “You Can't Take It With You”; Pearl in “Prisoner of Second Avenue”; Willa Mae in “A Bad Year for Tomatoes”; and Great Grandmaw in the Clarence Brown Theatre production of “All The Way Home”.

She has directed a production of Caring that was included in the New Play Festival at Tennessee Stage Co. She was a co-founder of an all women's theatre group in Toronto. She has co-authored screenplays for films that were produced in Canada. Her favorite role so far was definitely the unique experience of being brutally murdered as Lucy in Point of Fear.

She worked for many years as a Company Manager and Road Manager for theatres across the U.S., and with tours of musicals, plays and ice shows which travelled across America, Canada and to Australia. janice stanton
