The Secret City Film Festival was a blast! We had a great crowd and they loved the movie. I heard so many compliments about how wonderful the actors were and how much the audience enjoyed the movie. We had a great time schmoozing after the showing, met some really great people, and made some very important contacts! On Sunday at the awards banquet we had an excellent meal and then.... the awards ceremony began. Point of Fear took home 2 awards: The Founder's Award (The festival director explained this award to be a "most promising filmmaker award". What an honor!) Audience Choice Award So, hopefully this is just the beginning of Point of Fear's long commitment to entertaining the masses at festivals around the country. I am extremely proud of my cast and crew who did an amazing job during our super hectic 19 day shooting schedule (especially Jackie who was up EVERY morning, shooting this movie with me... and she never even got paid. What an awesome girlfriend!!!!) I said it at the festival, and I'll say it again-- every award we get is definitely OUR award. I had so much support from the cast, crew, family, friends, and fans- this movie would simply be an idea in my head if it weren't for you all. So-- if you didn't get a chance to see Point of Fear at the Secret City Film Festival, you can catch it November 4th at 7:00 pm at the Clinton Ritz theater! Tickets will be on sale at the theater for only $10!
